The Green Sea Peel - COMING SOON

Marine-powered skin rejuvenation with zero acids, minimal downtime, and serious results.

Green Sea Peel - Liquid Microneedling

The Green Sea Peel is a next-generation skin resurfacing treatment that uses natural marine spicules—microscopic needles from sea sponges—to trigger collagen production, exfoliation, and skin renewal without acids or harsh chemicals. Often referred to as “liquid microneedling,” this non-acidic peel stimulates deep regeneration with minimal irritation or downtime. Ideal for improving texture, tone, pigmentation, and acne, the Green Sea Peel offers a gentle yet powerful solution for sensitive, melanin-rich, or breakout-prone skin.

How It Works

At the heart of the Green Sea Peel are spicules—tiny, natural micro-needles from sea sponges that penetrate the upper layer of skin for up to 72 hours. These spicules:

  • Create micro-channels to deliver healing actives deep into the skin
  • Stimulate circulation, oxygenation, and detoxification
  • Trigger fibroblast activity for collagen and elastin production
  • Speed up cellular turnover for brighter, clearer, more even skin

Ideal For:

  • Acne and congestion (non-inflamed, closed comedones)
  • Post-acne pigmentation and texture
  • Hyperpigmentation and melasma
  • Fine lines and premature aging
  • Dull, rough, or dehydrated skin
  • Sensitive or reactive skin types who cannot tolerate acids
  • Fitzpatrick skin types IV–VI seeking a peel alternative

Who is the Green Sea Peel best for?

The Green Sea Peel is ideal for clients looking to:

  • Improve skin texture, tone, and clarity
  • Reduce mild to moderate hyperpigmentation, melasma, or post-inflammatory dark spots
  • Address non-inflamed acne (congestion, closed comedones, or “bumpy” skin)
  • Gently stimulate collagen production to soften fine lines and improve elasticity
  • Resurface the skin without acids, downtime, or risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)

It’s especially beneficial for:

  • Sensitive or reactive skin types who cannot tolerate chemical peels
  • Clients with melanin-rich skin (Fitzpatrick IV–VI)
  • Those seeking a natural alternative to microneedling
  • Clients who want visible results without harsh chemicals or acids

Who should not get the Green Sea Peel?

You should avoid this treatment if you have or recently had:

  • Inflamed or cystic acne – Spicules may aggravate active inflammation
  • Shellfish allergies – While not directly made from shellfish, cross-sensitivity may occur
  • Active eczema, dermatitis, or rosacea flare-ups
  • Compromised skin barrier or sunburn
  • Autoimmune skin conditions (e.g., lupus, psoriasis, etc.)
  • Recent cosmetic treatments – Wait at least 3–4 weeks after microneedling, lasers, or chemical peels
  • Accutane usage within the past 12 months
  • Pregnant clients without clearance – While the peel is natural, it’s best to consult with a doctor

What should I do before my appointment? (Pre-Care Instructions)

To prepare your skin and minimize irritation, please follow these guidelines:

2 Weeks Before Treatment (Optional but Recommended):

  • Use KrX BioHerb or O2 Tox treatments 2x/week to prime the skin
  • Clients prone to hyperpigmentation should use a tyrosinase inhibitor for 6 weeks pre-treatment

5–7 Days Before Treatment:
❌ Stop using:

  • Retinoids, retinol, tretinoin
  • AHAs, BHAs, PHAs (glycolic, salicylic, lactic, mandelic acids, etc.)
  • Benzoyl peroxide or harsh acne treatments
  • Exfoliating scrubs or cleansing devices
  • Thick creams, oils, or heavy occlusives

✅ Do use:

  • Gentle cleansers
  • Light, soothing moisturizers
  • Barrier-strengthening products (hyaluronic acid, ceramides)

Important: Do not tan or use self-tanners before your peel. This can increase sensitivity and the risk of irritation.

What is the treatment like? What will it feel like?

  • The treatment starts with a cleanse and is followed by the application of the Green Sea Peel (a mix of marine spicules and active ingredients).
  • The spicules are massaged into the skin. You’ll feel a tingling, prickling, or stinging sensation, similar to tiny needles or sand.
  • The peel is left on the skin to continue absorbing for up to 15 minutes, then gently removed.
  • Most clients describe the sensation as stimulating but tolerable.

What should I expect after treatment? (Post-Care Instructions)

First 24 Hours:
🚫 Do not cleanse, apply moisturizer, or use SPF
✅ Avoid makeup, sweating, sun, or hot water

  • Allow the skin to absorb the treatment fully
  • Redness, warmth, or sensitivity is normal

Days 2–4:

  • Begin gentle cleansing with cool water
  • Apply a light moisturizer (we recommend KrX Aqua Cream)
  • Avoid all exercise, heat exposure, saunas, or steam
  • Mild peeling, flaking, or roughness may begin

Days 5–7:

  • Flaking may continue or resolve
  • Skin will begin to feel smoother and look brighter
  • Avoid scrubs, exfoliants, or picking at peeling skin

Beyond Day 7:

  • Resume your normal skincare routine
  • Use daily SPF (minimum SPF 30) to protect healing skin
  • Continued improvement can be seen for up to 2–3 weeks post-treatment

What are the side effects or sensations I may experience?

Common and expected effects include:

  • Tingling or prickly feeling during and after the peel (24–72 hours)
  • Redness, warmth, or sensitivity similar to a sunburn
  • Mild dryness, flaking, or tightness of the skin
  • Slight sensitivity when washing or applying products

Less common but possible reactions:

  • Itching (due to healing)
  • Light swelling (in sensitive areas or reactive skin types)
  • Temporary increase in breakouts as congestion purges
  • No peeling (not every client will visibly flake—that’s OK!)

IMPORTANT: Do not scratch, pick, or exfoliate your skin. This increases the risk of hyperpigmentation or scarring.

How often can I get a Green Sea Peel?

This depends on your skin goals and how your skin responds. We recommend:

  • Light Peel: Every 4–6 weeks
  • Medium Peel: Every 5–6 weeks
  • Deep Peel: Every 6–8 weeks (requires previous experience with lighter protocols)
  • Acne or Texture Series: Every 4–6 weeks for 3–6 treatments

Can I combine this with other treatments?

Yes, but space treatments apart. Do NOT combine this with other procedures in the same session.

Wait at least 3–4 weeks between:

  • Chemical peels
  • Microneedling
  • Laser treatments
  • Waxing or dermaplaning

Will I peel? Is peeling required for results?

Peeling is not guaranteed, and results do not depend on visible flaking. The Green Sea Peel works by triggering deeper regeneration—so even if you don’t flake, your skin is still renewing and rebuilding.

How do I maximize results?

  • Follow all pre- and post-care instructions
  • Don’t skip SPF—UV exposure is the top reason for poor results or hyperpigmentation
  • Hydrate internally (drink water) and externally (moisturize)
  • Consider a series of treatments for long-term concerns like melasma, acne scarring, or texture

Is the Green Sea Peel safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

The Green Sea Peel is considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding with provider approval, as it contains no acids or harsh chemicals. However, because hormonal skin can be more reactive, we recommend a patch test and encourage clients to consult with their OB or midwife before scheduling treatment. We may also adjust your protocol for comfort and sensitivity.
